Rock your weekend: Rakrakan at 19 East and Kublai’s

Are you tired of thinking where to go this weekend? Stop thinking now and prepare for some good and loud rock music from your favorite promising local bands like Queso, Typecast and Eyescream. Grab your gear and invite all your cool friends at the last 2 legs of the Rakrakan October tour.

Rakrakan will be featuring great bands and musicians like Queso, who just recently won the World Battle of the Bands, Philippine Division. Queso’s song entry was “Insekta“, their first single for their latest self-titled album. For more information on the Queso album, read the Queso album review. For the folks who just got into rock, Queso was formerly Cheese.

Typecast, who recently just released “Every Moss and Cobweb“, will also be joining the Rakrakan tour. They will also be joined by Eyescream, the screamo band from Nueva Ecija who is hailed to be the next big thing to hit the Pinoy Rock scene. They will be releasing their first debut album entitled “Memories” which will include their first single, from the same title, “Memories”. You guys better watch out for this band. Although the release of their album is not yet confirmed, it is said to be that it will be out on the market on late October or early November.

Narda, the indie punk rock band who has released four EPs and a debut full length album, will also be in the tour. Narda is composed of Katwo Librando, the gorgeous female vocals, Ryan Villena on drums, Tani Santos on the guitars and Jep Cruz and Yaps Estagle on synths.

Other bands joining the tour are Giniling Festival, the one who sang the Bioman theme, Aizo, Mayfly Eternal, Kulukati, Agape and Quadro.

Rakrakan will be held at Kublai’s on Friday, October 20 and if you are the type of person who has no satisfaction, you can continue the fun on Saturday at 19 East.
