The Blue Rats Live Music Video

THE BLUE RATS is probably the longest running Pinoy blues band, they’ve been playing since the 1990’s - I think I saw them for the first time in 1995. Anyway, any who dare call themselves a Pinoy blues music aficionado must know the BLUE RATS. For the unitiated, there’s a thread about the BLUE RATS (some 13000 page views only) - go ahead and get your fix.

We were at the BLUESKRIEG CD launch last Sat Nov. 25, 2006. Lo and behold, the special guests to open the night were nothing less than the mighty BLUE RATS - SEVEN of them - and boy did they deliver a classy, groovey, sweaty, smokey set of blues standards.


Anchored by Mai’s vocals - the BLUE RATS music sounded so complete - all three guitars, one blues harp and steady rhythm (bass and drums) - they were hitting on all cylynders like a hot rodded Harley. What a treat it was to watch and experience their set. To see is to believe, yeah. We have online video for that. Enjoy! But wait, there’s more! Below is a video of The BLUE RATS with Cowboy Santos on vocals performing CROSSROADS - a true blues classic.
